Claims must be submitted to the supplement plan within 24 months of the later of: (1) the date of service (when using Prime co-payment receipt), (2) the date on which TRICARE/CHAMPVA processed the claim, or (3) the date the prescription was purchased.

If TRICARE/CHAMPVA reprocesses the claim for any reason, the revised claim may also be submitted to us within 24 months of the reprocessing date.

CSRs should encourage providers to submit the claim, regardless of the time period, so that our claims analysts can make a determination based on the written information received.
