Assignment of benefits from the beneficiary to a funeral home after the insured’s death is also permitted. The beneficiary should submit standard assignment forms (available from the funeral home) at the time of the claim.

While living, the insured may designate a funeral home as the beneficiary. This is not an assignment. 

Collateral Assignment is not permitted.
