Most Corporate members remit premium via payroll deduction. The deduction is performed by the employer group. We receive periodic lump-sum payments from the group (paying for several members all at once).
Despite the number of pay periods per month, most groups remit a payment to us on a monthly basis. Even if the group sends us payments more frequently, Billing will wait and post the entire month all at once. Sometimes we do not receive the exact premium needed to satisfy the whole month. Other times, we receive too much premium. InsPro simply advances the paid-to date as far as possible (by full months) and applies the rest to suspense. Everything usually works out fine in the long run.
If a list bill insured wants to switch to direct bill due to disability, family leave, or a leave of absence, we can usually accommodate the request. CSRs should collect the pertinent information and email it to to Jutta Hiley ,Twanna and cc Yolonda Roulette.
Washington rates will no longer exist after Jan 1 and will not be added to the manual. After Jan 1, all insureds that had been on Washington rates will have been transferred to Hartford under standard rates or they will have been terminated.
Please use the Corporate Groups Rate Manual (spreadsheet located in Tricare shortcuts for Rats, Plan Types, Benefit Year Start Date, Client Microsite, Enrollment Type, Payment Type, Trust Policy (plan type).
Please use your Corporate Groups Rate Manual (formerly OEP manual) to determine if this is an ER group that send us a file feed. This file feed will include premium. If so, please refer the EE back to the HR department at the ER group.
Remember some Corporate members are direct billed.
When the insureds policy is Corp and on List Bill the insured can not send in any premium.
The insured must wait until we mail out the LB to DB letter.
You can locate the LB to DB letter in Archived documents and email it to the insured if they have not returned the letter to us. Once you get the LB to DB letter back from the insured you can email it to our billingworkflow@selmanco.com and place a copy of the form in Imagenow.
Please have the discussion with the customer if there is past due premium required. We can use the APO information from the LB to DB letter to backbill the insured provided they give us approval in the email when they reply.
In this example below the LB to DB letter was mailed to the insured 02/20/2021. This is the letter you can email the insured. See line item 7 in the screen caption below.
