Each provider that signs up to for EFT, should be granted log in information for CHC’s website.
On this website, they can check real time processing of a claim and obtain their ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice) which takes the place of a paper EOB.
If they still want a paper EOB, they can print it directly from the CHC website.
If we get provider calls, we can direct to Change Healthcare, CHC:
Call CHC Support Team for service: 1-866-506-2830. Providers should select option 1 for EFT or ERA questions. This number is used to register only.
It is to our clearing house Change Healthcare, CHC. Once the provider has registered please they can use the link below to check the status of a claim.
- If the provider needs help with registering please advise them to speak with their supervisor or administrator.

If provider enters a check number, the site will tell the provider whether a paper check or an EFT was issued. This way the provider can easily check the status.
When a provider signs up for the EFT option, automatically the ERA (Electronic Remittance Advice) in the form of a human viewable EOB of the 835 data will also be available for them via CHC’s Payment Manager portal.
- The portal supplies a readable/printable EOB format (versus an 835 electronic data EOB format)
- The printable EOB will have the Re-association Trace ID on the form. Sample 835 screen shot provided at the end of this document.
- When EFT begins, EOBs are automatically added to the Payment Manager portal. This is a free benefit for providers that sign up for EFT.
- This means that they have access to two forms of EOBs:
- 835 ERA
- PDF index image (image of what the paper EOB would look like. It’s what we in Transamerica can see in CAS)
