If the policy is in an Active/Paid Status- You must first have the premium accounting reverse the premiums.
If the policy is in IssuePendingPremium Status- You must log into your customer service log in. Once logged into CS log in, select contract administration and inforce contract.
Next search the policy number to reissue/re-date.
Enter the policy, select change at the top of the screen. Next select the history tab at the top of the screen.
In the history tab select (highlight) the issue with the "N" status, and put a "R" in the reversal box located above the save button.
Click Save to reverse the issue. You will receive a dialog box that says Transaction complete. Click OK
The policy will go back to the main Venus screen and will now be in submitted status.
You will now need to log out of your CS profile and log into your New Business profile. Once logged into your NB profile select New business and inforce contract just as you did in the first step.
Next click change at the top of the screen and then select the history tab at the top of the screen. Select (highlight) the submit with the "N" status, type a "R" in the reversal box right above the save button. Then click save
You will receive a dialog box that says Transaction Complete. Click "OK" the policy will now be in submitpend status.
You are now able to make changes to the policy if this situation is a reissue. If a re-date you are now able to correct the effective date of the policy. Once you have completed your change click save at the top of the screen.
Once your changes are complete. Now you must put the policy back into a submit status.
Click the transaction button at the top right hand on the screen
The screen below will appear and then you need to enter the effective date. Note: if the policy is dated in the past you will need to use that effective date. If the policy is dated in the future use today's date. (For this example we will use 1/1/2020 past date) for the coverage/rider type select traditional life, the click save.
You will see the words processing in blue and then the verbiage (words) will disappear. Click close button in grey at the button right of the screen. The policy will still show submitpend temporarily.
Click the blue search button, this will take you back to the Venus search screen. You will now see that the policy is back in submitted status.
Finally, click the policy number to enter the policy. Follow normal steps to on how to issue a policy.
Send an email to have the print pulled for the policy. The email would need to be sent to Hunter Delp, Tiffany Wright, Mckayla Lanham and Rodney Stone. The email should include the policy number, market code, and the name of the group. Example below of pull print email:
When the policy is reissued, new policy print will be available the next day in the RNB0041 folder.
If the applicant is aware there may be a change- send a reissue letter, possible HOC, and amended pages. (ex. face amount change, premium, effective date change, age change)
If the applicant is not going to be aware of change (agent information, market code, etc...) you do not need to send amended pages or a reissue letter.
Use red 30 day free look stamp to stamp amended pages, and reissued pages, then mail the policy.
