Most benefits are paid “per diem” or “per day.” 

Each member has a Daily Benefit Amount. 

• This amount, or a percentage of this amount, is payable for each day of qualifying care. 
• Benefits are paid according to where the member resides (nursing home, at the member’s home, etc.) or the type of provider rendering the care (nursing home facility, home health care agency, hospice, etc.).
