Nursing Care Facility. All plans include a nursing home benefit. The nursing home benefit is payable at the full Daily Benefit Amount. A nursing home is a live-in facility for persons who need medical or custodial care rendered by a Registered or Licensed Practical Nurse. (A nursing home is not a hospital, Assisted Living Facility, etc.). Note: In-Patient Hospice care is also paid at the full Daily Benefit Amount.

Home Health. All plans include a home health care benefit for services rendered by a Home Health Care Agency. These agencies provide medical and other therapeutic services in the member’s home.

Other Types of Care. Some plans include benefits for Adult Day Care, Alternate Care, Assisted Living, Hospice, Respite Care, Transitional Care, Bed Reservation Benefit, Informal Care, and Informal Caregiver Training.
