Many times you will find a check number that begins with 999 in Transamerica Emerge.
That is not an actual check number.
You will need the actual check number to give to providers, or to complete a check tracer.
To locate the actual check number you will need to log into Emerge Shell
1. Use your User name as your First Initial and Last name, your password was provided when you were hired.
2. Click Login
3. Click on "Claims"
4. Click on "Claims Processing" at the top on the right. Then click "Claims Search"
5. For this practice we will use the Emerge ID number, 1079557. Please change the "Search By" option to "Member ID" then click "Search" at the top one the Right.
Please be patient it may take a moment for your information to populate.
6. Once the information is loaded it will look like this. Please note, the Blue Arrows at the top will allow you to sort the information as you need it.
7. Scroll over to the "Check #" field. You will find the Actual check number associated with the claim you found in Transamerica Emerge.
8. Notice all of the check numbers begin with 999. When you see the check number that starts with 999, you will have to find the correct check number.
Please locate the correct check number for XREF 1079557, provider Life In Motion, DOS 08/07/2018 to 11/01/2018.
As a reminder, we did not have Hartford as our carrier until 01/01/2019. Therefore, you will need to use Transamerica Emerge.
