There are some closed Comprehensive Retail policies with a 4-year premium waiver for surviving spouse/child coverage. 

The waiver begins when the primary TRICARE member passes away. 

Premiums remain waived for four years or until the surviving spouse remarries, reaches age 65, or the children age out of the plan (if no spouse).

The CSR action:

1. Request Death Certificate

2. Place Death Certificate in Imagenow

3. Notify Billing workflow via email. This process will be the same for both Transamerica and Hartford policies

This feature is NOT included on most plans. This is only available to members who remain on a Comprehensive Retail plan (now closed to new business).
