The pre-existing condition limitation will be considered satisfied to the extent it was satisfied under previous Creditable Coverage, if the effective date of our plan is within 63 days from the termination of the old plan. Creditable Coverage is essentially defined as a major medical policy (not a supplement plan).
The applicant needs to submit a letter of creditable coverage from the previous insurance company, stating that he/she had a major medical policy and stating that policy’s effective and termination date. The reason for termination does not matter.
