We do not list every covered person on the card.
This is a common practice in the insurance industry. The card is not proof of coverage – it is instead a way for patients to easily provide our contact information (name, address, phone number) to medical providers.
There are exceptions to the above rule. If the primary insured is a child, the Member name on the ID card will be the name of the military sponsor.
We can also make exceptions upon request (e.g., primary insured is the second spouse and children from the first marriage want a card with the military sponsor’s name on it).
Supervisors can work with Enrollment and IT to request that the policy owner and bill-to person be changed to the name of the military person.
